Okay, lets get one thing straight, when I talk about a collector I don’t mean an IAS Officer. I mean a person who has a healthy (or unhealthy) habit of collecting things. Well wait! I am talking about myself J. Ohh! DId I just forget to mention that I am super obsessed with shoes and bags as well? The happiness I feel when I’m buying them is beyond words. Of course sometimes I am so engaged browsing shopping websites that I actually forget to eat. If I am attending a class and I get a text message from Amazon about a sale, try as I might I automatically disconnect myself from the class and get lost dreaming about shopping.
I possess the ability of getting high without being drunk. And something which takes me to that crazy world is time I spend getting decked up. I believe the dress you wear should complement the shoes. A girl like me would rather prefer choosing the footwear first. I have been chided by my mom like every other day because I just can’t resist shoes. I am a person who doesn’t really use the stuff but loves collecting them. Recently I came to know about xerve.in and its promotional offers which again pushed me back to my habit of collecting. I ended up buying 4 pairs of shoes at once, with the idea of optimising the value of spend by earning cash with every purchase.
Now that I have turned 18, I have the license to loiter around and explore the pubs and discs in Bangalore. I enjoy dancing like no one is watching but would like to do it without the fear of falling. I have since started buying high heel wedges for only this purpose. High heels wedges are the broad heels which doesn’t make me trip and fall, no matter how high I am. Also if someday my uber cab is cancelled and I have to walk a kilometre or so to look for transport, I can comfortably do it. Also I get a chance to comfortably flaunt my super trendy wedges, along with my outfit. Also it breaks the stereotype of a girl not being able to walk enough. What people interpret as attitude could just be her leg aching and not being able to walk long enough with pencil heel and short dress. With wedges neither do I have to hold my heels in hand and walk barefoot, nor do I have to compromise with the urge of wearing heels that are comfortable. I also don’t have to manage my weight on the tip of my toes. These wedges provide enough support to my arches and I love wearing them.
One problem which all girls are very much aware of in our everyday life is of getting bruised at the Achilles tendon which take weeks to heal. When I put on my wedges I don’t even have to give a thought to that. My ideal shoe type is a high heel wedge, which has a platform welt, gives me a carefree attitude and also allows me to give two hoots to the ideology of ‘’ no pain, no gain’’. I would give a shoutout to all the girls out there, who are facing similar issues like me and ask them to shift to wedges and make it their go to style and comfort wear.
